Mola TV needed to make a splash. They’d just snagged the exclusive rights for streaming the English Premier League (EPL) to Indonesia.
Our client needed us to generate brand awareness in a hurry and start bringing in those pre-orders. We did it by making the brand’s logo the hero: he’s the big blue fish that’s now bringing you the EPL.
Results: Results: 5 million subscribers and counting.

Instagram was our key digital channel. Facebook is for "old" people, according to our core audience of tech-savvy Indonesian millennials. Using a top Indonesian comedian to personify the brand helped boost the views and spread the shares.
Pre-Launch Teaser: Mola announces he’ll be bringing you the EPL for the next 3 seasons. Translation: “Important news for English League Fans”
Product Launch: Mola hits the shops to promote subscriptions. Translation: “Want to watch the English League? Subscribe to Mola”
Tactical: friendly warning - the EPL will only be available on Mola TV.
Tactical: familiar signal that tells fans it’s time to change to Mola.

We only used Instagram. Because for young Indonesians, Facebook stopped being cool a long time ago (click for bigger images).
Promo
The fans went wild for this one. We flew a huge Mola balloon at key sites across Indonesia. By taking a picture with it and sharing on Instagram, the most creative fans won a flat-screen TV with Mola subscription.
